Irma Favela-Slater, PA-C
Irma is the inspiration of Mission Center Healthcare. Moving from Mexico at age 15, Irma picked strawberries, grapes and other crops for several years before pursuing her long-held dream of providing high-quality healthcare for families. Now, 25 years after graduating from the Stanford University Primary Care Associate Program with a specialty in family medicine, Irma Favela-Slater, PA-C continues to have a special place in her heart for the people of South County.
R. Giuseppi Slater, M.D., FAAFP, President and CEO
Dr. Slater has more than 25 years of experience in emergency medicine, family medicine and occupational medicine. He is bilingual and has done extensive medical work in Latin America. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice, of the American Board of Medical Specialties, and also the Board of Certification in Emergency Medicine of the American Association of Physician Specialists. He was an Assistant Clinical Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine for over 10 years, teaching emergency medicine residents and working at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, a Level 1 Trauma Center. He also was the Emergency Department Director at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital for over 10 years before opening Mission Center Healthcare and continues to practice part-time emergency medicine there. He has published papers in emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine and public health. Dr. Slater directs the Center’s advanced urgent care and occupational medicine programs and practices family medicine.
Jonathan Annis, M.D.
Dr. Annis, who is certified by the American Board of Family Practice, has been practicing family medicine, urgent care medicine and emergency medicine for over 25 years. He has been an emergency department director and has a strong administrative background. He also has very extensive experience with occupational medicine. His ability to speak Spanish enables him to communicate well with all our patients.
Muntu Davis, M.D.
Dr. Davis is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has extensive experience in family medicine and urgent care and speaks Spanish well. He has done post-graduate work in community medicine at Harvard University.
