Mission Center Healthcare is a custom designed medical facility that opened in February of 2005 incorporating advanced medical and information systems technology. Our team of medical providers allows us to provide full family medicine while also offering any-time advanced urgent care, including the ability to care for many conditions usually requiring an emergency department visit. We also offer comprehensive occupational medicine services, including acute care for injured workers and screening and preventive services.
We feature a wireless, paperless office using completely computerized electronic health records and practice management. This allows us to do things like search our database for patients who might benefit from new treatments for their conditions or who need important screening exams. It also allows us to maintain a higher level of security and privacy for patient medical records, while at the same time facilitating transfer of medical records when needed to off-site medical specialists.We have computer access to data bases with the most current medical information available, including diagnosis, treatment and pharmacology, to help us offer the best possible care for medical problems.
Our facility contains an on-site medical laboratory using computerized analyzers that can produce test results in less than 20 minutes. Such tests include blood counts, comprehensive chemistry panels, cholesterol and lipid panels, liver studies, kidney function, electrolytes, PSA (for prostate cancer), advanced diabetes tests, thyroid studies and other tests. We also do on-site nerve conduction testing and we can do specialized tests as needed.
We were the first facility in Monterey County to have fully digital imaging. Utilizing a high quality x-ray system, our images can be instantly and securely transmitted to any specialist anywhere, as needed. We also have a state-of-the-art bone densitometry (DEXA) scanner, to screen for and aid in the treatment of osteoporosis.
